Interreg KARMA Working Group 2: aggiornamenti normativi e buone pratiche per l’economia circolare nel settore delle costruzioni e demolizioni (C&D)
Il 24 febbraio 2025 si è tenuto, in modalità online, il Working Group 2 del progetto Interreg KARMA, organizzato dalla Regione Calabria, partner attivo del progetto. L’evento ha visto la partecipazione di stakeholder e partner internazionali, confermando l’impegno della Regione Calabria nella promozione della collaborazione transnazionale.
Durante l’incontro si è discusso approfonditamente dell’adeguamento in corso alla normativa “End of Waste” – Inerti DM 127/2024, che disciplina i rifiuti inerti derivanti da costruzione e demolizione. Sono state inoltre evidenziate le buone pratiche per la produzione di terreno vegetale e l’inquadramento normativo della materia, in linea con la DGR 401/2024 – Strategia Regionale per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile.
Per l’introduzione dei lavori, è intervenuto il funzionario arch. Fortunato Renato Carere, che ha presentato le finalità dell’incontro. Successivamente, lo stakeholder “Ecopiana” ha illustrato la propria relazione, con l’intervento curato dall’ing. Antonio Cassalia e tradotto in italiano e inglese a cura del dott. Alex Holmqvist.
L’evento ha rappresentato un importante momento di confronto e aggiornamento, contribuendo a rafforzare la governance e la trasparenza nell’attuazione del progetto Interreg KARMA.

Interreg KARMA Working Group 2: regulatory updates and good practices for the circular economy in the construction and demolition (C&D) sector
On 24 February 2025, the second Working Group meeting of the Interreg KARMA project was held online, organized by the Calabria Region, active partner of the project. In the event took part some international stakeholders and partners, confirming the Calabria Region’s commitment to promoting transnational collaboration.
During the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion regarding the road to compliance with the Ministerial Decree DM 127/2024, which regulates inert waste resulting from construction and demolitions, as well as the good practices implemented for the production of topsoil, following the regulatory framework established in the Regional Decree DGR 401/2024, part of the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development.
The introduction of the meeting was made by Arch. Fortunato Carere, who then passed the floor to the representative of “Ecopiana” a stakeholder, who illustrated its report. There was also an intervention by Eng. Antonio Cassalia.
The event was an important moment for discussing and updating the situation, helping to strengthen governance and transparency in the implementation of the Interreg KARMA project.
